  • Brown vs. the Board of Education

    This event was take place in Topeka, Kansas. The problem was that the african american students had a poor education system. The parents of this student were concerned about it and was taken to court. The leader of this event was the Browns family and thanks to them, we blacks and whites can go to school and have the same education together.
  • Pearsall Plan

    Pearsall Plan
    This event toke place in Charlotte,NC. The method used was the "freedom of choice" plan. Leaders are Thomas J. Pearsall and Luther H. Hodges.
  • Arrest of Rosa Parks

    This event was in Montgomery, AL. And the leader of this was Rosa Parks, a african american women who was riding the public bus one day. Back then the whites were to sit in the first 10 sets of the bus. Rosa sat in the 11th set of the bus. The white man decided to sit there and demanded her to move from her seat. Rosa refused to move and was taken off the bus by the police and into court. The result of this protest was the rallying point for organizing the black community.
  • Greensboro sit-in

    Greensboro sit-in
    This event toke place in Greensboro,Nc. The method was that the black students sit at the whites only table in a dinner. The leader were 4 african american collage students. This event encouraged places to desegregate.
  • Little Rock 9

    This event toke place in Little Rock Arkansas. On this day, 9 african american students were a part of a new porgram the school board came up with. The first 8 got the message on where to meet. The 9th, didnt and had to face the angry mod of whites who go to the school. That unlucky 9th person was Elizabeth Eckford, the leader of the Little Rock 9. They used nonviolent protest to help get black to go to school with whites.
