The Arms Race ended during the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, following the end of the cold war.

    The Vietnam war begins in 1955. There are several reasons as to why the Vietnam War happened, including communism, imperialism, and containment. The United States believed in a term called the "Domino Effect" which was the notion that if one country fell to communism, that the rest would also as well. The Vietnam war ended in 1975 when the Soviets took control over South Vietnam. However, the country was reunited again.

    The Berlin wall is created in 1961 and was taken down in 1989. The purpose of the wall was to seperate East and West Berlin due to tensions after World War 2. West Germany was prohibited from entering Germany's Eastern Socialist State.

    The Cuban Missile starts to arise in 1962. The United States photographed the Cuban nuclear missile sites being built by the Soviet Union. President Kennedy did not want the Soviet Union or Cuba to know that he had found the missiles. This lead to the invasion of Cuba and an airstrike of missles. The Cuban Missle Crisis ended on October 28th when the Soviets removed their missles from Cuba.
