Though Washington warned the British general that the fighting was done differently in Europe than in America, he didn't listen, so he died and lost that battle. Although George was ashamed of that battle, many people admire his bravery.

    George was elected as president. When George was being elected, they were doing it differently back then. An elector from each state was chosen. Each had two votes, but everyone voted for Washington. That was called the Constitutional Convention. He swore an oath ,which all future presidents of the U.S would swear too, two days later in NYC, which was the temporary capital.
