    Uncle Tom's Cabin is a book that Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote on what she saw about slavery and on the underground rail roads. This book is said to of caused a big war according to Abraham Lincoln.

  • Battle at Fort Sumter

    This battle didn't have any casualties but lasted about 34 hours. Fort Sumter was low on supplies and couldn't match the armourment of the confederates in this fight for which they had to give away the fort.

    The Monitor vs. The Merrimack
    This was a battle between two ships full of untrained soldiers. In the end "The Monitor" ended up sedning the Merrimack back to a shipyard.

    This Battle was known as one of the most deadliest battles of the war. To hold a river the Union lost many men but managed to hold it and killed about 600 more confederates than Union soldiers.

    General Lee figures if he can destroy the Unions strong point he will disconvince the Unions army and think they'll give up. 60,000 men on the confederates, 15,000 on the Union. At the end of the battle there was only 15,000 men left of Lee's army and they won the battle but not the war. Later after the battle he and his men failed and lost.

  • Surrender at Appomattox

    Robert E. Lee, surrounded by soldiers who were tired of fighitng and were weakening by the moment realized he must surrender to hands of General Grant for which he would die fighting. On April 9th they went Appomattox court house and signed a treaty.
  • Assassination of President Lincoln

    President Lincoln died in the Fords Theatre by a flint lock pistol to a gun shot wound to the head.
