The 13 colonies joined together and formed the united states, they rebeled against the tyranny of Great Britan causing a war to break out. -
Decleration of Indapendance
America declares it's independance from great britan and becomes a country. This was the starting point of america. -
End of revolutionary war
This is the end of a 7 year battle of indapendance. America is now its own country, seperate from britan. -
Louisiana purchase
The U.S. purchased the territory of louisiana from france, therfore expanding westward. -
Indian Removal act
The indian removal act, was the removal of indians from their native lands, the United States put them in reservations because they wanted more land. -
Gold Rush
The californian gold rush started when gold was found by James W. Marshall at Sutter's Mill in Coloma, California. News spread of this new found treasure in the californian lakes. The 49-ers travled to california to become rich, though many failed. This gold rush helped california grow, creating new towns and roads. -
Compromise of 1850
A set of five separate bills passed in the United States in September 1850, these bills stopped the debate of who gets what after the mexican-american war. this stopped the confrentation for 4 more years. -

When the southern states succeded from the union they formed the confederate states of america. This was the first step of the civil war. -

The 13th Amendment made slavery illegal in america therfore setting slaves free. -
14th Amendment
The 14th amendment gave black americans citizenship and equal rights. this made it so that the blacks could truly be free. -
15th Amendment
The 15th amendment made it illegal to deny a man the right to vote based on race. It let black males vote.
