Montgomery Bus Boycott
Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King had a nonviolent protest in Montgomery,AL. They had a nonviolent protest so African Americans could sit anywhere on the bus .The result they had for the boycott was that the supreme court ruled the Montgomery bus segregation law was unconstitutional. -
Rosa Parks Arrest
Rosa Parks was arrested in Montgomery,AL for refusing to give up her seat. Rosa Parks had to go to jail and have a nonviolent protest with a result of rallying point for organizing the black community. -
Little Rock Nine
In Little Rock, Arkanasas 9 African American students were picked to go to Central High School. In 1954 the Brown vs Board of Education case ruled that African American and whites could go to school together. 9 African American students got picked to go to Central High School. The principal from Central High School didn't want them to come he had the national guard in front of the school so they wont come in. The result was that Central High School was eventually integrated. -
Greensboro Sit-in
In Greensboro,NC kids and college students sat in resturants all day so they could have the right to go to any resturant they like. Dr.martin Luther King sent kids to protest because grown ups won't get hurt.The result was that African American and Whites could sit with each other in a resturant. -
Wilmington Riots
In Wimington,NC 9 African American men and a white women. The Wilmington 10 had a riot for racism they bombed stores,houses,etc. The Wilmington ten bombed and sniper shot at police that arrived at the scene. The Wilmngton Ten were convited and sentenced to prison. Though they did all of the of that they were found not guilty.
