    After his good friend karl marx passed away, engels spent most of his time finishing up critiquing the works of Marx's Das kapital, he then passed away of throat cancer in London on 5 August 1895, at the age of 74,he was cremated at Woking Crematorium where his ashes were then scattered off Beachy Head, near Eastbourne as he had requested.
