  • Chronophotography

    Took a picture in various images. Start of stop motion animation. Was before actual moving frames.
  • The Horse in Motion

    Images of a man riding a horses that were put into zoetropes to make the pictures move consecutively. There were many photos/images taken. Another beginning to stop motion.
  • First Camera

    The first camera that was built. It was known as the Kodak. Made by George Eastman. Was offered for sale in 1888
  • The Lumiere Brothers

    Made a projector. Cinematography was created. It showed images through things. The videos showed were very short.
  • Nickelodeon Theatre

    First successful theatre that permanently showed only films. People paid a nickel to get in. The channel is named after this.
  • Photo Drama of Creation

    Considered one of the first major motion picture films to synchronize sounds with slides. This scared many of the viewers when they first witnessed it. Caused more movies to be created. Huge outburst of stuff.
  • Talkies

    Movies synchronized with talking or dialogue. Most of about all the Hollywood films at the time. Many famous scenes came from this. The downfall of silent movies.
  • Flowers and Trees

    Considered the first successful animated color film. Made by Walt Disney. Beginning of Disney. It was all hand drawn.
  • Magic Lantern

    At home projector. Beginning of at home movies. Let people buy and bring their own shows home. People could make or even try to make their own movies and watch them through this.
  • Jaws

    The first block buster. It premiered in the summer time. CGI images began to be incorporated into movies. Start of all our movies today.
  • Digital

    Began to use more CGI than real actors and props. Start of CGI within movies. Start of more jobs available. More types of jobs available within the industry
  • IronMan

    Beginning of the Marvel universe within the film industry. It also was a new and way to see what could happen in movies. Start of many action movies. World loved it.
