Film distribution is where a movie is made avalible to an audience by a film distributer, they do this by releasing it in theatres, home entertainment (DVD's) or a television broadcast. Film distributors are the people who promote and market the film. They set the release date and how and where it is to be shown.

Universal is the distribution company that is most likey to be interesten in out film because it is based on a successful film they they have already released, meaning thet they know the correct audience to target it at and where to distribute the promotional producs.

Our film has appeal to more than just the UK. This is because it has circumstances (relationships) that are relatable to young adults anywhere. Horror films appeal to anyone who enjoys being scared and this film does that.

The release strategy is when the release date is set for the film and a delivery of the master print of the finnished film.
The exihibition options are where the film is to be shown. This is mostly cinemas, then DVD, which is what we chose to use for ours. The distributor nigociates to have it shown in cinemas.
The marketing strategies for this is creating a campaign aimed at the correct audience that 'bigs up' the film to make people want to go and watch the film. -
Self distribution is expensive, but if the makers of te film know the correct audience that the film is aimed at ten it can still be a successful film.
