Fernand Point was born in Louhans, France. During this time, his parents were the owners of a fairly popular buffet-style restaurant, where he would grow to love cooking. -

Fernand moved to Vienne, where he opened a restaurant with his father. -
(1924) Fernand Point's father passed away, passing control of the restaurant over to his son, who then renamed it 'La Pyramide.'

Marjolaine is a cake that has heavy cream incorporated. It is light a and creamy cake with nuts and covered in a rich chocolate. Potato Gratin is also has a lot of cream and butter. The potatoes are thinly cut and really rich. -
