Fashion over the 80 years

  • 1940's

    In the 1940's the fashion was a mixture between fashion and glamour. Before the war clothing was bring and colourfull just like this dress on the left. But as the war started women started wearing dresses very much like army and war times.
  • 1950's

    In the 1950's fashion was infulenced by international rock starts and also television. Pastal and floral patterns took over the boring war time uniform dresses and women decided to wear pants over dresses. Shoes became fewer heel and more flat and the Risque mini skirt became a statement of sexism.
  • 1960's

    In the 60's was a change of fashion where once on Derbt day a model Jean Shrimpton wore a mini skirt dress which turned heads as the norm was just just long dresses gloves and stockings.
  • 1970's

    Many people say the 70's was just a terrible era for fashion but I bet it was the best year for it. With high-rised pants and and low cut boots and people also wore lesure suits.
  • 1980's

    The 1980's was a year of terror where everyone looked like they were in a movie or halloween. No one cared or relized how terribly scary and tacky they looked. Women started wearing shoulder pads and bright colours were fashionable, velvet was the number 1 fashion material. and popular brands like Coca-cola were also very popular.
  • 1990's

    the 1990's were all about tied hoodies around the waist and baseball capst flipped and mood rings were a nessesity even though they didnt work. You would only wear overalls with one strap down and always work bike pants under everything.
