Albany Plan of Union
The Albany Plan of Union was a plan with the objective of creating a unified government for the Thirteen Colonies. This was suggested by Benjamin Franklin, at the Albany Congress which took place on July 10, 1754 in Albany, New York. -

Boston Tea Party
A political protest about "taxation without representation". American Colonists dumped 342 chests of British tea off a three ships. The British lost an equivalent to $1,700,000 today. -

The First Continental Congress
Was a meeting of delegates from twelve of the thirteen colonies to discuss resistance of the Intolerable Acts. Lasted from September 5, 1774 to October 26, 1774. -
Stamp Act
A tax imposed to help pay for the French and Indian War. All printed papers were given an additional tax on them. Was repealed on March, 18 1766. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
First Battle of the American Revolution. Hundreds of British troops attempted to seize an arms cache. Paul Revere sounded the alarm and the American Colonists fought back, forcing the British to surrender. -
