Invasion started ar 6:30 am on June 6, 1944 and Normandy, France was captured on June 30, 1944. This was were the Americans , Canadians , and Brittish stormed Omaha beach and several others in order to take France back from the Germans. This was one of the more significant battles because even though Hitler was ready for the invasion, in the end he still lost.
