Ernst Mach was an Austrian physicist and philosopher, he was born in what is now known as the Czech Republic on February 18, 1838. Ernst is best known for his "contributions to physics, philosophy, and physiological psychology." (Pojman, 2019)

Life and death: Ernst Mach lived a total of 78 years, making many contributions to the study of physics, philosophy, and physiological psychology. He is probably best known for his findings with the speed of sound, the Doppler effect, and many more great achievements.

At the age on 17, Mach entered the University of Vienna to study physics. After completing his studies in 1861 he became a lecturer for the University until 1864.

In 1861 Mach turned his material he used for his physics class to create a textbook for medical students.
