    Birth and Early Life
    Ernest Nagel was born on 16 November 1902 in Nove Mesto, Bohemia, Austria Hungary. He immigrated to the United State in 1911 and later gained us US citizenship in 1919. He became a philosopher at Columbia University from 1931-1970. This is where he developed most of his philosophical vies by studying the works of many famous philosophers and creating the groundwork for his many influential works.

    Ernest Nagel died on September 20th, 1985. In his death, he left two sons on a mathematician at the University of Wisconsin and on a physicist at the University of Chicago. His work influenced the Philosophy of sciences to this day with his different theories of the structures of science.
