  • Landon Faces A Choice

    Landon is 11 and being 'encouraged by friends to post unfiltered videos on a social media website because “everyone is doing it.” He is a straight-A student and knows its wrong. He caves in and agrees. In Erikson's Industry vs Inferiority stage, school is a primary influence for social & academic demands for children. Social networks may ask for actions not in line with personal morals or standards. Events can help build, or undermine, self-confidence, esteem, sureness, and sense of competence.
  • Landon Chooses a Path

    At 15, Landon relies on social media. His grades are low; he's lost friends. He posts a cyber-bullying clip that results in his suspension from school. Erikson's Identity vs. Role Confusion stage occurs during Adolescence (12-18 yrs). Social relationships are critical. Landon faces crises both of identity and in his social life. He should be forming a strong identity & sense of direction, which can lead to fidelity. Failure in this crisis can result in confusion, loss of self-esteem, & worse.
  • Landon Mentors

    Landon and his son, Collin, are on their annual dad-son trip. On this trip, they will fish, camp, learn to tie knots, build bird houses, & explore together. Erikson's Generativity vs. Stagnation stage occurs during middle adulthood (45-60 yrs). Parenthood and work are central focuses. Landon's positively contributing to his home & community. He enjoys great health, a sense of control, & close relationships with others. He reaches out and contributes to the next generation in a variety of ways.
