the third national park to be formed in the world (and Canada's first), its now the 16th biggest park in Canada, and was one of the 3 most influential parks in the entire world. -

this was the decision made by the Canadian and American government to share water equally among the 2 countries -

in 1971 the government decided that they should have a department for the protection and enhancement of the environment, that's when the department of the environment was formed, increasing the natural environments quality (including water and air) -

this was am agreement with america to try and reduce pollution and toxins from going into the great lakes -

this united nations convention was to try and deal with issues of sustainable fisheries -

agenda 21 is where more than 100 countries signed to try and take action and make sustainable environments for the 21st century -
Paris agreement
this agreement made 175 states agree to lower greenhouse gas emissions, i know its not specifically Canada but i thought i would put it in here, it's pretty important in my opinion.
