Decision Maker
Elon Musk started studying in applied physics in Stanford University when he saw that the academic life wasn't really what he wanted. He wanted to start a company that had his vision and he chose to drop out of Stanford and built one his other companies, Zip2 which sold for 350 million later on in 2007. This is just one of the many decisions he had to make as an entrepreneur and a future leader, its these choices that have taken him this far. -

Tesla is succesful thanks to Elon Musk, he fulfilled his big goal by making Tesla THE electric car company. But he has realized that the world is changing, he has now focused his attention to space with his SpaceX company. It focuses on providing humans with a sustainable future in space, and is progressing exponentially just like Tesla did, it shows how Musk adapts to what the human race needs. -
Committment
Elon Musk has demonstrated committment to his company since he first became its leader. He reportedly puts in 100 hours of work each week. Its said by his colleagues that Musk would spend more time working if it wasn't for his family. -
Big Thinker
In his very first blog post in Tesla, Elon Musk stated his intentions for the future. He had big goals in mind, he planned on reinventing the automobile industry and overcome its dependence on fossil fuel. Many thought it was an impossible goal, but he worked hard to accomplish this big goal, and succeeded grandly in this endeavor resulting in the Tesla Roadster (car in pic.). He thought of something big and put it into action, this is just one of the few reasons why he's a great leader. -
Risk Taker
When asked by interviewers why he took so many risks (released a model that was not ready for production, invested his own money, making choices based on vision not profit, various recalls). He answered that he was a risk taker because he didn't fear failure, he stated later on and it turned into one of his most memorable quotes
"Failure is an option here. If things are not failing, you are not innovating" enough." -
Courage
Musk's company Tesla nearly collapsed under the financial crisis. But his courage only grew stronger under this financial strain. He demonstrated said quality by investing his last $35 million dollars in saving into Tesla, to save the company and its employees. It takes a lot of courage and faith to invest your last saving into a dying company, but it's thanks to this that Tesla is a massive successs. -
Positive & Hope-Filled
Most of the choices Elon Musk makes are based on the vision he has for Tesla and not on its profit. I say that he's a postive thinker and filled with hope because Tesla is not making as much money as it should, but he believes that by sticking to a vision; the result will be much greater. Not many leaders would see it like that, they may be positive and filled with hope, but they're only hoping to see profits. Elon Musk has a positive attitude and he's full of hope for the right reasons. -
Sense of Humor
In October, 2014 Elon Musk announced the arrival of a new Tesla model, the D Series. But Elon Musk phrased it accordingly;
"About time to unveil the D". If you get the innuendo, you get it, I'm not going to go into detail about it. His twitter followers took notice of his humorous yet assertive post and followed along with the hype.
