    Australipithecus Afrerinis aso known as "Southern Ape" lived 4 million yeras ago. They were about three feet tall. They lived in Africa and had a mix of a human and ape features. They walked on two feet and used thier hands similar to humans. Their arms were long and their hands and feet were similar to modern humans. They had a large forehead and jaw that stuck out from their faces. They didn't make any tools.

    Homo Habilis was also called "Handy Man" and lived 1.5 to 2 million year ago. They lived in Africa. They were about 4' tall and had a combination of ape and human features. Their brain was twice the size of Lucy's who was thought to be her predecessor which allowed them to be smarter and make better tools. They also walked on two feet, but they were alot taller. They hunted animals and used spoons an forks for eating.

They were about five feet tall, they lived in Asia, and Africa, they looked more like a modern human, their foreheads were round and smooth they also had a large ridge above their eyes, a thicker skull, and a jaw that stuck out. They were skilled at making fire which alowed them to live longer and stay in colder places longer. They made complex tools like the hand axe made out of stone.

They used all their intelligence for tool making. They created knives, scrapers, spear points.

They had high, rounded skulls, large brains, small teeth, and skinny bones. But their bodies were not as well adapted to the cold as the Neanderthals were. There skill was that they could hunt better from far distances with the tool they made called spear thrower, hooks, bow and arrow. They made hunting much easier and safer.
