Australopithecus Afarensis
Australopithecus Afarensis is the first early human that the World knows of. Australopithecus Afarensis lived 3-4 million years BCE. They were living in Afirica near the Afar Triangle. They were 3 feet tall, very hairy, mixed look of human and ape, long arms,large head, and jaw stuck out. No tools have been found, but archeologist predict that they used rocks. Their capabilities are limited because they have a small brain but they able to carry items in hands while walking on two feet. -

Homo Habilis lived 1.5-2 million years BCE. The place they lived in was Africa. Their physical traits include an average height of four feet tall, two times the size of brain Australopithecus Afrarensis had, and they looked like a mix of human and ape. Homo Erectus lived since about 1.8 million years ago to about 200,000 years BCE. They lived in the island of Java and the Southern Coast of Asia. The average height is about 5.5 feet tall. They were hairy and they stood up straight on two legs. Plus they had a new type of skull. Their jaw also stuck out. The main tool they used was fire. They had very strong legs so they ran faster. Homo Sapiens Neanderthalensis lived through 230,00- 30,000 years ago. Neander Valley, Germany is where their bones and artifacts were found. They lived in Africa, the near East, Europe and parts of Asia. They had large bones and a ridge above their eyebrows and the still looked human like. Homo Sapiens Sapiens have been around since 35,000- 12,000 years BCE. They probably lived in Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Eventually they traveled North and South America. They had rounded skulls, large brains, and small teeth. Their average height was 6 foot. They were wonderful tool makers. They attached thin blades to bones, antler, and stone to create a variety of tools. They could build, hunt, paint, and fish.
