Marco Polo was a Venitian merchant traveler. He recorded his travels around Asian routes, these travels took a total of 24 years. He came home to a war in venice, was jailed, and upon release he became a wealthy merchant. He died in 1324.

Henry was another British Explorer of his era. He mad two attempts to navigate to China though the Arctic Circle. On his last voyage he was mutinied with his two sons. They were never seen again.

Samuel was a French navigator, cartographer, draughtsman, soldier, explorer, geographer, etc. Samuel started the first French settlement in Canada, now known as Quebec City. He made many maps in the northern regions.

Leif Ericsson was born in the late 900's. Son of Eric the Red, and well spoken-of traveler and viking, Ericsson is known to be one of the first travelers to find North America, and establish a township there. He is known to have discovered what is now cape cod.
