    Content and Consciousness
We will start our timeline here, with Mr. Daniel Dennett's first work. It is a peek into what he will soon be known for, which he might have not even known at the time. In this book he explains that consciousness and content are two separate entities that need to be examined individually, have their own theories. He steps foot into our minds to explain things about ourselves that we could've never imagined.
  • Consciousness Explained

    Consciousness Explained
Mr. Dennett explains in this work that our conscious mind is not one single unit that tells us what to do, how to feel or even what to think. It is "a bag of severally evolved tricks, an only very loosely associated gang of little specialists whose individual actions contribute piece meal and chancily to a subject's operative psychological state.." He goes on to explain that our mind uses history, reality and even made up situations to evolve and grow.
  • Darwin's Dangerous Idea

    Darwin's Dangerous Idea
This is another book by Mr. Dennett where he challenges those who believe that God made the universe. He explains that Charles Darwin is completely right and he proves this through on an algorithmic level. He describes how he believes every part of life is just part of evolution as Darwin explained and that everything we know can be explained from that.
  • Breaking the Spell

    Breaking the Spell
Another big work expressing his beliefs about how evolution is the reason for everything we know in life. The source I used for this entry says, "For Dennett evolutionary reasons are behind everything we value, from sugar, sex, and money to music, love, and religion." Dennett explains in his book that culturally, there is a way to explain everything down to a biology. Very much like his dissertation turned book, "Content and Consciousness" it's all about the algorithm.

https://youtu.be/K26fo6QRc_k Daniel Dennett is still alive and well working as a the Director of Center for Cognitive Studies at Tuft University in Massachusetts. He has tons of videos on YouTube and has written many books, I've listed his most well known works. Mr. Dennett's contribution to the philosophy of science allowed us to dig deeper, think harder and research our most inner being. Whether we agree with Mr. Dennett or not, he brought a point of view worth tackling and pursuing
