SBS WRMA FM, formerly Romance 106.7, change its format to become a bilingual dance/rhythmic radio station. DJ 106.7 began streaming at midnight both online and on-air. The station has begun to stream ads declaring July 4th, Laz's Independence Day, as he will be returning to the Miami airwaves on this date.

The Miami Heat Celebration Parade was led by the DJ Laz Van on this day as well. Obviously his fans were really excited to see him as his Facebook and Twitter accounts were bombarded with welcome back notes.

Following the end of his 90-day noncompete clause with Power 96, DJ Laz does his first return broadcast on the Miami airwaves beginning at 6 AM. Then he will do his live broadcast on LA 96.3 in Los Angeles.

In order to help the family of Yadira English, a member of the LA 96.3 family who passed away. The DJ Laz Morning Show along with LA 96.3, will be hosting a car wash. In addition the Lalo Restaurant will donate 25 percent of its profits to the cause.

DJ Laz hosts his Welcome Home Party at Marlins Stadium after the Miami Marlins take on the Washington Nationals. Flo Rida performed a concert for the occasion.

DJ Laz interviews Flo Rida and his nephew Pitbull on the air of LA 96.3 FM. He also interviewed comedian Carlos Mencia. He made some social commentary in regards to homosexuality and all the stereotypes toward it.
