Jamie and his family go to new lands
Jamie, his parents and his brothers Robert and Davie head to new lands on the boat The Star of Bethlehem. Davie catches the Bubonic Plague on the boat but gets better. After they got there Jamie's dad decides to stay there permanently. -
Jamie sees the native he wanted to see.
Robert killed the seal that Jamie loved. Jamie then went into the forest to chase Robert. While looking for Robert in the woods he runs into the native that he longed to see. -
Jamie goes hunting for sea birds with Tethani.
After hunting Jamie trips on a rock and falls. Tethani carries Jamie back to the village. When the dog sees him it starts barking. Tethani screams to attract attention and to scare the dog. He then placed Jamie on the ground afterwards he retreat into the forest. Robert starts to suspect that Jamie was lying about how he got hurt so he questions Jamie. -
Why this is the climax
I think this is the climax since the fight between the villagers and natives start. This is also when Tethani's people start getting killed. I always wondered if Tethani was going to be killed by a villager on the next page since Tethani cannot hide from them forever. -
Tethani's parents and little brother get shot.
After Craven came from Europe with his militia he told the villagers to start to hunt the natives with the help of the men from the army. After they put up the traps Tethani and Jamie carefully disarm them. They bury the poisonous food and ornaments in the ground. Jamie sees Robert, Andrew and Craven slowly moving through the woods. They see Tethani's parents and little brother. They then shoot them. -
Why this is the dénouement
This is the dénouement because this is when the entire story wraps up and all the goals of the characters are achieved. Some things that were achieved was when most of the natives are killed and when Tethani and his family head to the western land. Jamie brings Davie to the cliff to see the sunrise and while Jamie is there he hears Tethani and the flute that he plays. -
Tethani gets shot and killed by Andrew
After Tethani and Jamie bury Tethani's family they head to the cliff to see the sunrise. Tethani then gets shot by Andrew who is hiding in the bushes. Jamie then buries Tethani along with his family in the cave. He brings Davie to the cliff to see the sunset and the animal messenger that says that Tethani and his family have made it to the western lands.
