It started as a student protest and it attracted thousands of people as they marched through the Budapest. A student died and was then wrapped in a flag and was held above the crowd which then started the revolution. The revolution ended by the soviets rolling their tanks into the Budapest.

    It was a push by Mao Zedong to change a farming society to a modern, industrial society. Th goal was to do it within just 5 years but it was a failure. Millions of citizens were moved onto communes. Mao hoped to increase chinas agricultural output but also while pulling workers from agriculture into the manufacturing sector, he also wanted to free China from the need to import steel and machinery. Mao had bad planning and 45 million even died from the Great Leap Forward.

There has been many canceled Apollo missions due to technical problems, the Apollo 1 fire, and a variety of more reasons. The program failed majority of the time but NASA finally got Apollo 11 to land on the moon successfully.
