    Allied forces invaded france in June 6, 1944. Over than 150,000 troops landed on beaches of Normandy.

    April 1945 the Soviets were the first to reach Berlin surrounding the city. By May 2 they found the body of Adolf Hitler near his berlin bunker. He commited suicide, and Berlin surrendered that same day. Germany surrendered on may 7.
