    The Cuban Revolution overthrew the regime of Fulgencio Batista with the 26th of July Movement and established a new Cuban government led by Fidel Castro in the 1950s. The term "Cuban Revolution" is refering to the social revolution after the overthrow of the Batista government and the adoption of Marxist principles by the new Cuban Government.

    In 1968 the U.S.S. Pueblo, a Navy intelligence vessel, was doing a routine surveillance of the North Korean coast when they were engage by North Korean patrol boats. The crew was taken to 2 comounds and were charged with spying within North Korea’s 12-mile territorial limit and imprisoned. On December 23, 1968 the U.S. and North Korea came to an agreement and the crew was released to South Korea where they were sent back to the U.S.

The Apollo 11 mission occurred eight years after President John Kennedy announced a national goal of landing a man on the moon by the end of the 1960s. It would spark a new race for the coutnries of the world to get to space.
