Civil War Wounds/ Remedies Arthur Richard has been in a Hospital for quite some time now. He is dealing with Typhoid Fever and the doctors think that the worst is behind him. The doctors say that he has gone crazy at some points throughout his sickness and he destroyed his letters from his sister and the gifts she sent. He is feeling depressed and sick from the fever. -

Information about Typhoid Fever Richard Arthur has been recovering from Typhoid fever for the past few weeks. He wants to help fight so bad, but the doctor said that he still has to heal. He hears that troops are moving to the front every day and he is mentally preparing. -

Richard Arthur has just gotten assigned to a group of soldiers to fiight in the war. Today they help set up Log Shantys, that were built up 7 logs tall. On top of the logs they placed their tents and built bunks in the back of the cabins. -

Preparing for Battle Today Richard Arthur is preparing for battle. He is getting his horses pack packed with supplies and ammo.They have gotten some new saddles and carbine revolvers. They expect to go to the front any day now. -

Civil War Weapons Richard Arthurs commander says that he should learn to use a sword, because it may save his life one day. It is not known as a sword, but as a Sabre. So he has been learning how to use it and taking pictures with it. -
New Years
Civil War celebration recipes Richard Arthur had a great time at the New Years party. The camp was all lit up and everyone was celebrating. They got to eat turkey, rabbits, and other nice things. He didn't to sleep all night. -
Stealing Horses
Horses In The Civil War Richard Arthur went on a raid for more horses and got caught in a fight in Staunton. He made it out, but had to walk the horses back because of the terrain. When he made it back to the station they started a big wagon train and made it back to camp. -
Attacking A Train
Civil War Trains Richard Arthur and his camp attacked a confederate train. They stold their goods and supplies and they took their weapons. His camp also took some of the confederates as prisoners of war. -
New Force
Union Army Facts Richard Arthur is enjoying good health and about three weeks ago he was taken away to another force of 20,000 about 23 miles away from his last camp. They are expecting to fight the rebels tommorrow. -
Friend Captured
Civil War wardrobes A rebel camp is located about thirty miles away from where his camp was located and one of their recruits was shot, but the bullet when through him and so they took him as a prisoner. They tried to raid them and find him, but they had to turn back. A little while later though the recruit escaped in a Rebel suit and made it back to camp. -
Ammenities of Martinsburgh
Matinsburgh Richard Arthur is enjoying his time in Martinsburgh, West Virginia. He has met many pretty ladies and many of his soldier friends are getting married to them. The place he is staying at is very large, it contains 100's of stores and paved roads. He's safe for right now in this town. -
Skirmish

Richard Arthur and his men were out scouting the area when they came upon a group of confederate soldiers we turned back and left them alone. When they returned to Buckletown they saw more confederates and we commenced fighting. They retreated and hid in the hills. When they made it to pleasant valley we had a few more skirmishes, but none of them were to threatening. -
Prisoner Of War
Civil War POW He has been in the confederates prisoner of war camp now for about a month. He is starting to really miss his family and the life he use to have. He has requested some butter, bread, cheese, ham, socks, and a wool hat. -

Civil War soldiers With PTSD Richard Arthur is starting to feel very depressed. He misses his family and is ready to be done fighting. He has seen to much death and warfare. His younger cousin Frank was killed and it is making him want to go home even more than before. -
Aftermath of the Battlefields
Battle of Bull Run It is three days away from the end of the Civil War and Richard Arthur is going through all the old battlefields. It doesn't look like much now. They have planted seed in parts of it and covered some with dirt. It makes him sad to think of everyone he lost in this war. -
