    Klu Klux Klan
    Its a movement with extreme violence to get there goal of racial segregation and white sepremacty. There were more than 40 different klans. The klan remains the one with the gretest number of local organaizations around the country.

    It was about all slaves would be free in those states. It only applied to all states besides Delaware, Kentucky, matyland, and Missouri. On December 1865 was when it was officaly passed.

    Lincolns Assassination
    Lincoln got assassinated by John Wilkes Booth. He got shot at a play in Fords Theatre in Washington D.C. It happened after General Robert E. Lee surrenedered his massive army.

    All relief and educational activites relating to rufugees and freedmen. Which also includes custody of the confistacted lands or property in confederate states. They were recorded by the Bureau Headquarters.

    The black codes were made after the civil war. The code wouldnt allow people to vote unless there fater or grandfather voted before them. And bathrooms and schools were seperated from blacks to whites.

    The act let poeple have ful citizenship to African Americans. Also, the act gave the federal government the power to intervene their rights. The law aslo overturned the black codes.

    Republicans thought of Lincolns plan too frogiving. So they thought of a more extreme plan and were called the Radical Republicans. They declared the Southern institution "must be relaid or broken up." The Radical Republicans controlled the Congress.

    From North Dakota to texas and from Delaware to California, many other states could enforce legal punishments to people for associationg with the opposite color. The Laws tried to separate whites and blacks. They couldnt get married, have business together, or public instustution between blacks and whites.

    Republicans preferred a new runner for president. The Republicans nominated Rutherfor B. Hayes. To look over the election results they had to form groups called comisstions to look over them. The group had 7 Republicans, 7 democrates, and 1 Independent. But the Independent resighned and the Republicans took his place.

    They called it the creation of the government in the 10 Southern states. The 10 had not ratified the 14th Amendment. The act had 10 states and put them into 5 military districts. The act also aloud African Americans the right to vote in state elections.

    Republicans and Southern Demacrates met in secret to work out an agreement. When they made the compromise it let some south have a new government. Republicans agreed to withdraw.
