Rosa Parks was an African American boarding a bus after work and sat in the "Black" section of the bus. When she refused to get up for a white man she was arrested. This is important because this was one of the first acts towards integration.

Little Rock Nine was a group of nine African American Kids being able to go to a whites school, they went through great abuse. This is important because it shows the first change into inegration.
