  • Brown v. board of education

    Brown had said that the government should pass a law saying that schools shouldn't discrimnation against race. And that all people are created equally. it's significated because whites and blacks were separted when being educated. So the board of education had to change their laws.
  • Emmett Till

    Emmett Till was murdered by two white man because they over heard him speaking to a white women. They left him so bad that even his own mother couldn't reconzied hiim. it's signifiance because the two white man were never charged for murder and it opened the public's eyes. People's opinions started changing on african americans.
  • Montgomery Bus Boycott

    they boycotted the bus because rosa parks refused to move for a white person. it's significated because just because she didn't move back, she was arrested and after that people began to complicated how it was so unfair.
  • Little Rock School desegregation

    9 teenagers were trying to go school but they couldn't go because the government wouldn't let them because he didn't want to segregate the school in little rock. its significant because the school wasn't let them come in, and parents were probably complicating.
  • Sit-ins in Greensboro/Nashville

    A bunch of african americans students decided they were going to go to local diners and sit in the reserved area for whites. and they were instructed not to respond in any violent way.
  • Civil Rights Act

    This act now made all forms of discrimination illegal. It was motivated people to change their mind.
