    She refused to give up her seat on the bus, and as a result, people in Montgomery, led by the young MLK, stayed off the busses in a boycott that lasted for more than a year (‎December 5, 1955 – December 20, 1956)
  • The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom

    MLK gave a famous speech at this event, and the event was attended by about 200,000 to 250,000 people in front of the Lincoln Memorial.
