    Brown vs. Board of education was ground breaking for the African American community. It allowed Linda Brown, a young African American lady be allowed to be taught at an all white school. How it helped the Future?
    It helped African American students become one in a college and it was passed that they would be granted permission for college. This helped desensitize the whites. They wanted a reform. The population of African Americans in white colleges when up a lot due to the help of Linda Brown
  • Montgomery bus boycott

    Montgomery bus boycott
    Rosa Parks did not give her seat up in protest against the African Americans limited rights. Authorities arrested her in Montgomery Alabama. Future? Rosa Parks just wanted a seat on the bus after a long day of work. This was Important to the movement. It showed people needed to stand up for what was right. She was an individual that people looked up. We still learnabout her importance and thats how she is changing our future learning from Historys mistakes.
  • Sit Ins

    Sit Ins
    The movement of "Sit Ins" started. It was a prominent thing especially down south. Colored citizens would sit at a white booth in a restraunt and demand to be served as equals. The most successful one would be Greensboro, NC Future? It usually never ended peaceful with these sit ins. The police would most likely beat them till they would get ut of the restraunt. Their Bravery is still recognized today.

    Movements\ Ole Miss riot
    The movements started off of the Sit ins. African Americans would march through the cities demanding equality within the city. It was a major step for the civil rights movement. The Ole Miss Riot happened because of James Meredith, a black citizen who wanted to attend Ole Miss. He was met with a riot when he came. Students did not like it but he was granted promition. Future? James Meredith helped break the race barrier in college. It helped changed college racial attendance today.
  • MLK Death

    MLK Death
    Martin Luther king was a important individual in the civil rights movement. He was a peaceful leader that wanted change and reform. He was assassinated on a second floor balcony at a motel. It shook the world. Future? MLK changed everything mostly for good. He was a God to the African American Community. He changed the souths most racist towns. He would go even if he knew he would be beaten because he knew peace was the only way to freedom of racism.
