    The blacks of Montgomery, Alabama, decided that they would boycott the city buses until they could sit anywhere they wanted, instead of being relegated to the back when a white boarded.

    Four young collage men sat at a white-only lunch counter inside a Greensboro, North Carolina called Woolworths were african americans weren't allowed to sit, the people wouldn't serve them because they was in the "whites only" section so they sat there until the store closed.

    Wilmington Riot
    Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, TN. On Sunday, April 7th in Wilmington, church leaders held a memorial and prayer service in Rodney Square. The following day, schools held additional morning and afternoon memorials. During the memorials, several groups of young people began marching down Market Street causing damage to several stores. By nightfall, violence broke out in 'The Valley' section of the city. Vandalism, shooting and looting continued for many hours. Firebombings
