    The mongomery bus boycott was the arrest of the black woman (Rosa Parks )for refusing to give up her seat on the bus to a white man. This happened in Montgomery, Alabama. The boycott had lasted 13 months and was made for the right to sit anywhere on the bus no matter what race you were.

    The John F. Kennedy assasination happened while he was visting Dallas, Texas. He was assinated by Lee Harvey Oswald, a pro-Castro malcontent.
  • 24th ammendment was passsed!

    24th ammendment was passsed!
    The Twenty-Fourth Amendment, which abolished any form of payment, usually called a poll tax, as a prerequisite for voting in federal elections. This was an important event during cival rights becuase it ended the mandatory poll taxes that prevented many African Americans.

    The CIval rights bill was passed the federal government formed the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The commission banned all discrimination based on race, religion, gender, and national origin in an act that became known as Title VII.
