Che Guevara was born on June 14, 1928. His parents were Celia de la Serna y Llosa and Ernesto Guevara Lynch. He was born in Rosario, Argentina. He had 4 siblings and he was the oldest of them all.

In 1943 (1 year after he started high school) Che and his family moved to Cordoba, Argentina.

Che enrolled in the University of Buenoe Aries to study medicine.

Che and his family move (again) to Buenos Aries.

During College Che began to want to explore the world, so he joined a group of boys that were going to motorcyle across Argentina. The first part of the trip was a solo 2,800 mile ride through Northern Argentina on an old bike that he instaled a motor on.

The second part of his trip was a 9 month, 5,000 mile trip across most of South America. He completed the second part of the trip with his friend, Alberto Grando.

When his motorcycle journey ended he and Alberto volenteered at a leper colony. A leper colony is a group of people that have been banished from their group of people because thay have leprocy. Leprocy is a illness that affects your skin and can sometimes cause limbs to fall off.

Che arrives in Mexico for the first tiem.

While in Mexico he is introduced to Castro by a friend. When he meets Castro he is asked to join the July 26th revolutionary movement. He does. The July 26th revoluntionary movement was a plan divised by Castro to try to overthrow the currant dictator of Cuba ( Fulgencio Batista). He thought that a dictatorship was not the way to run a country but that communism was the way.

During the July 26th movement Che and Castro go to Cuba in the middle of the night abord the Granma. Most people were killed by the American soliders that found out that they were trying to overthrow their government. The surrvivors esaped to the neerby mountains wherre they planned a later attack.

Che and his men captured the city of Santa Clara. Batista flees the country in fear of being killed.

When Castro came to power Che was appointed Commander of La Cabana fortress, President of the National Bank of Cuba, and Ministeer of Industries.

Che leaves Cuba, speaks in the UN, and travels around Africa

Che Guevara died on October 9, 1967. He was 37 when he was executed in La Higuera, Bolivia.

After traveling Africa Che desides to leave Cuba forever and gives his goodbye letter to Castro.
