Fredonian Rebellion
Haden Edwards tried to make "old settlers" pay fees for their land. His contract revoked by Mexican government and he got mad. He declared his colony the Republic of Fredonia. The rebellion ended quickly but it started Mexican concern about Anglo-Americans living in Texas rebelling.
