Holden kicked out of Pency
He is kicked out because he failed all of his classes except for English. He didnt apply himself in school and doesnt care very much about it. -

Isolation & hyprocrite
The whole time Holden was holding back from everyone and didnt get to attatched or anything with anyone. He liked to be by himself but wanted the company of people. He was a hypocrite because he would say someone was phony because they did a certain thing like smoke and then he would do the same thing. He was making a cover up for all the bad things he did, like telling people that they were wrong and he knew he shouldnt do them but he did them anyways -

Lying & Jane
Holden would always say how good of a liar he was and that he lied to everyone about everything. How could we know what he is saying is the truth or just a big lie? Jane came up a lot because he had feelings for her and she might also be like a memory for his past when everything in his life was how he wanted it unlike it is now -
Lecture
Holden gets lectured from his teacher Mr. Spencer about how he is doing in school and why he is getting kicked out of Pency. Mr. Spencer says that he needs to imply himself into his work and that he needs to try harder to do better. -
Stradlater & Jane
Holden finds out that Stradlater, his friend is going out on a date with Jane, his old neighbor. He is upset about this because he knows how Stradlater acts with girls and he only wants to get with them. When Holden met Jane he really liked her and he doesnt want Stradlater to use her. -
Goes to New York
Holden goes to New York with Ackley & Mal, his friends. They go to have drinks and were going to go to a movie but it was all sold out. -
Compostion
Holden has to write a compostition for Stradlater and decides to write it about Ali, his dead brother, and his baseball glove. His glove had all these motivational quotes on it and Holden really liked it. He also really missed his brother. -
Fight
Holden and Stradlater get into a fight over Jane. Holden knows that Stradlater tried to get with her. Even though he didnt. Holden wouldnt shut up about Jane to Stradlater, so Stradlater punched Holden. Stradlater beat up Holden pretty bad. Holden did manage to punch him back pretty good and broke his right fist and can't close it all the way anymore. -
Left Pency
Holden left because he didnt really need to be there anymore but he didnt want to go home yet. He felt like he was unwanted at Pency so he just left. After he left he tried calling people to make plans with but it was getting late. -
Bar
Holden decided to go to a bar and while he was there he met these three women, they were the only women in there. So he went and made conversation with them and danced with them and stayed with them the rest of the night, until they left the bar. -
Eernies
Holden leaves the bar and sits in the lobby of this hotel and thinks about Jane for a while. Then he goes to Eernies which is also a bar. Once hes there he has a pretty good time for a while until he mets up with one of his brothers friends, who he doesnt like. He leaves the bar so he doesnt have to see her again. He walks 40 blocks back to his hotel because he didnt want to take a cab. -
Prostitute 2
The elevator boy beat up Holden and the prostitute took his money. Left Holden in his room all beat up. -
Prostitute
When Holden gets to the hotel he goes in the elevator and the elevator boy asked him if he wanted a prostitute and Holden said sure. So this prostitute came to his room after he got all fixed up and she got there and Holden didnt want to do anything with her he just wanted to talk. After a while he still payed her and she left. A little while later the elevator boy and the prostitute came back to his room to get more money from him. He payed her the right amount but they wanted more money anyway -
Trainstation & Breakfast & Broadway
Holden went to the trainstation to drop off his bags in one of the boxes. After he goes to breakfast and meets these two nuns who he makes friends with. Holden donates money to them even though there just school teachers. He goes to Broadway to waste time before he goes on a date. -
Pheobe
Holden wants to buy a CD for Pheobe, his sister. Finds a CD store and buys one. He wants to give it to her right away so he goes to the park where he knows she goes to play with her friends. He couldnt find her anywhere. He also looked at the museum her other favorite place and she still wasnt there so he left to go on his date. -
Date
Holden goes on a date with this girl he got tickets to one of the Broadway shows. She liked the show a lot but Holden said something to affend her and then she went home. He felt bad about it after. -
Drinks
Holden called his friend and made plans to get drinks. He got to the bar where they were meeting his friend and Holden talked for a while. After a while his friend left, Holden stayed and got drunk. -
Park
After Holden got drunk he left the bar and went to the park. He kept walking around the pond and he almost fell in. He sat at the park for a while just thinking about everything. -
House
Holden decided that he wanted to go see Pheobe. He walked to his apartment where his parents lived. It was getting late and he had to sneak into his house. He got into Pheobes room and woke her up and they talked and messed around for a while. Then there parents came home and Pheobe had to cover for Holden because he had smoked in her room. -
Mr. Antolinis
Holden called his old teacher from Elkton school to see if he could stay at his house for the night. Holden went to there house and Mr. Antolini and Holden talked about his grades from Pency and his classes. Antolini gave him advice for the future. After Holden went to sleep he woke up in the middle of the night and found Mr. Antolini petting his head. Holden got creeped out and went to the trainstation to get his bags and ended up sleeping in the trainstation until 9 in the morning -
Pheobes school
Holden then decided that he was going to hitch hike into the West and find a job and a town where no one knew who he was. But he wanted to say goodbye to Pheobe first. He wrote her a note telling her that he was going to the West and that he wanted to say goodbye and to meet him at the meseum at her lunch time. -
Museum 2
He told her that he would stay and that she could skip school the rest of the day and they could go to the zoo. -
Museum
Holden was waiting for Pheobe to come. He had some little boys come up to him and ask him where the mummies were so Holden took them to the mummies but they got scared and left. He went back to wait for Pheobe. Pheobe came carring a big suitcase. She told Holden that she was going with him, Holden wouldnt let her so she got angry and started crying. Nothing could make her happy. -
Zoo
Holden and Pheobe walked to the zoo. Pheobe was still angry at Holden so she walked on the other side of the street all the way to the zoo. They went to the zoo and had a good time but Phoebe was still barley talking to Holden. He took her to the carousel, it was her favorite place at the zoo. He let her ride it a couple times. She finally started talking to him again and he told her he would go home that night. He did.
