  • Skin Cancer: Self examination

    With self examination for skin cancer you should be looking for the following:a growth,a mole increased in size,a spot that continues to hurt,and a open sore that hasn't heal in more than 3 weeks. I will do self examination starting today and continue until I am near death bed. I will do these examinations after I get out of the shower everyday.

  • Cervix Cancer:Pap test

    Once I turn 21 I will have a Pap test done every 3 years. A Pap test is when the doctor will collect cells from the uterus and be tested for any abnormal cells. From the age of 21 until the age of 65 I will have this test done every 3 years.

  • Breast Cancer: Mammogram and physical examination from doctor

    I will have my first mammogram at the age of 40, but after I reach the age of 45 I will need to have it done every year until I am 55. Once I turn 55 I will then decrease to every other year, I will stop having mammograms at the age of 75. Mammogram is a low-energy x-ray to examine the human breast for diagnosis.Every three years I should have a physical examination until the age of 75 and beginning at 40.

  • Colorectal Cancer

    At 50 I will begin taking test for colorectal cancer.Fecal occult blood testing the doctors will gather 3 samples of stool and test for any blood present, this is test every 5 years.Sigmoidoscopy is minimally invasive examination of the large intestine entering through the rectum to examine the colon,I will receive it every 5years.Colonoscopy is the examination of the large bowel and distal part of small bowel, this test is every 10 years.I will continue to have these test until the age of 75.
