    "S.S.D.D." (Same Shit, Different Day) is the first mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It serves as a tutorial to teach players basic gameplay mechanics and controls.
  • Team Player

    "Team Player" is the second mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. With BCT-One trapped in a terrorist-held city, the Rangers of Hunter 2 mobilise to rescue the stranded unit. After calling in an airstrike, the Rangers move into the city to mop up any present OpFor and secure BCT-One.
  • Cliffhanger

    "Cliffhanger" is the third campaign mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Captain John 'Soap' MacTavish and Sgt. Gary 'Roach' Sanderson of Task Force 141 must infiltrate a Russian airbase in the cold mountains of Kazakhstan. There, they must revover a module from a downed satellite before the Russians can make use of its infomation and abilities.

    "No Russian" is the fourth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The mission takes place in Zakhaev International Airport. The mission sees the player take part in a massacre of hundreds of civilians, and made Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 one of most controversial games to date. It also appears in a flashback during Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, when player-character Yuri tries to stop Makarov.

    "Takedown" is the fifth campaign mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. In the aftermath of "No Russian", Task Force 141 finds evidence of the lead person that the terrorists are working for and are assigned to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to capture an associate of Vladimir Makarov: Alejandro Rojas, an arms dealer protected by the local militia.   • Wolverines!

    "Wolverines!" is the sixth campaign mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Although Task Force 141 succesfully recovered the ACS module, they were too late. With the hacked module, the Russians declared war by launching a surprise invasion of the United States, catching the Americans completely off guard. With little time to organise a strategy, Rangers from the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment immediately gear up to secure a HVI, codename: Raptor.
  • The Hornet's Nest

    "The Hornet's Nest" is the seventh mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Following the capture and interrogation of Alejandro Rojas, US forces have been banned from entering Brazilian airspace due to the destruction, forcing Captain MacTavish to call for outside help from Nikolai. The player controls Sgt. Gary 'Roach' Sanderson as he and Task Force 141 escape the Favela through a market to reach Nikolai's Pave Low.

    "Exodus" is the eigth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The player takes control of Pvt. James Ramirez, who must follow Foley and the team to mop up any enemy resistance with the help of a Stryker, 'Honey Badger', take out anti-aircraft batteries with the help of 'Honey Badger', get intel from a HVI and then evacuate him on 4677 Brookmere Road.
  • The Only Easy Day... Was Yesterday

    "The Only Easy Day... Was Yesterday" is the ninth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The player controls Gary 'Roach' Sanderson. The objective of the mission is to eliminate hostiles and rescue three rooms full of hostages on an oil rig being used as a SAM site in order to allow Task Force 141 to infiltrate The Gulag and extract Prisoner #627.
  • The Gulag

    "The Gulag" is the tenth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The player takes the role of Gary 'Roach' Sanderson as he and the rest of Task Force 141 storm the gulag, an old Russian prison, to rescue Prisoner #627. This mission is phase two of "The Only Easy Day... Was Yesterday".

    "Loose Ends" is the fifteenth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This is the last level the player plays as Gary 'Roach' Sanderson, and also the last level the player sees Ghost alive. This level has become infamous among fans, since it sees the death of two key protagonists in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and it also shows where General Shepherd betrays his allies.

    "Endgame" is the eighteenth and final mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The objective is to kill the rogue General Shepherd before he escapes Afghanistan. The player takes control of John 'Soap' MacTavish along with the assistance of his superior, Cpt. John Price.
  • Just Like Old Times

    "Just Like Old Times" is the seventeenth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. With most of Task Force 141 eliminated and nearly out of allies that they can trust, Captain Price and Captain MacTavish resolve there is nothing left to do but neutralise General Shepherd. Now labelled war criminals and wanted fugitives, the duo embark on a suicide mission to infiltrate Shadow Company's command base with one goal only: Kill Shepherd.
