    Caligula is an insane man who was rumoured to certain many mental illness', a theory that is hard to argue against. Examples of this are displayed in acts such as his countless incestuous orgies and when he once asked one of Tiberius' ex-exile' how his time was, the man said he "constantly prayed the gods, that Tiberius might die and you become emperor" Tiberius thinking that this meant the man was hoping for his death as well, sent an army of soldier to eradicate all of the ex-exiles.

    Caligula loses his mind beyond reconciliation

    Caligula already deviant mind grows; he makes it punishable by death to mention the word 'goat' (because of his apparent excessive body hair), constructing a 2 mile floating bridge so he could gallop along it, appointed his horse (Incitatus) as high consul and constructed a bridge between his palace and the temple of Jupiter.
