    Clarence Gideon had been convicted for breaking into a public pool hall but he had sent a letter to the supreme court about his case being unfair. Lee Brown(gynecologist in school for medicine) and Estelle Griswold were convicted for opening a birth control center after Connecticut passed a that banned any use of drugs, medical devices, or any other instrument of further contraception. 9th amendment- Rights not listed are still rights.     on March 31st, 1980, C.J. Williams, Ohio state highway patrol trooper, pulled over Richard McCarty. Once Richard was out of his car the officer noticed he was having trouble standing, and have him a balancing test followed by multiple questions. although he had failed to say the Miranda rights. Richard was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and participated in court. 5th amendment- right to remail silent, guarantees the right to a grand jury

    In 1983, Chase and Sanborn's company filed for bankruptcy. Although in 1985 Norberg had sued Granfinanciera, Medex, and other companies. Norberg claimed they received the money in fraudulent transfers from Chase and Sanborns corporate.     The vernonia school district of Oregon came up with the Student-Athlete Drug Policy. Which would allow them to randomly drug test their students.     Daryl Renard Atkins was convicted for abduction, armed robbery, and murder. The jury sentenced him to death, although the Virginia supreme court ordered a second hearing because he was mentally disabled ( or " mentally retarded). Although, again, they sentenced him to death, so the supreme court relied on Penry v.     Carol Anne Bond was guilty of trying to poison her husband's mistress, Myrlinda Haynes.     Jamie Caetano was convicted for possession of a stun gun in Ashland, Massatuchetts. She claimed that she was innocent because of the 2nd amendment and that it was necessary for her to have it for protection from her abusive ex-boyfriend.
