The reason we have chosen Dr. Ben Carson Sr. as our STEM project professor is that we have the same political and religious beliefs. I have also heard him speak at my grandfather's banquet and enjoyed it very much. Dr. Carson grew up in Detroit, Michigan and attended Southwestern High School in Southwest Detroit.

Dr. Carson overcame many challenges but the main challenge he overcame was the separating of the siamese twins. We can all relate to this by us all having to persevere through hard times. We also have to sit down and think about the problems that both of us face even if it is not the same type of problem. Dr. Carson is also running for the US presidential spot coming in 2016 in the Republican Party.
