    Beckham is still going through the process of developing his narrative skills. He tells his teacher "Nathan was playing with a ball and he cut himself". Beckham forgot to mention that Nathan was his brother and he was playing outside. Furthermore, he did not mention how the cut happened. Beckham is using names for groups like "vegetables" or "fruits" through his language. Beckham tells his teacher "I don't like vegetables. I like fruits more"

    Beckham has begun to use more elaborate sentence forms such as subject-verb-complement-adverb. Beckham says "Mommy is drinking coffee now". Beckham uses coordinating conjunctions such as "and, or, but". When Beckham is hungry he says "I want pizza and fries". Beckham uses grammatical morphemes and says "Look it's raining". Beckham often repeats himself especially when it is something negative. He says " I don't like broccoli" twice.

    Beckham is able to fast map. Beckham is given three familiar objects and one is a novel object. He is able to eliminate the familiar objects to find the novel object. Beckham understands kinship terms such as mother, father, brother, and sister. Beckham expresses to his teacher "I have a brother and a sister". Beckham has begun to use locational prepositions such as "under, next to, and behind". As he plays with his toys he says "look momma the bear is next to my truck".

    Beckham is able to speak in a way that is understood by family members and friends. Beckham tells his mom about his day at school and says "I played with friends outside". Beckham is developing his conversational skills while eating at the snack table at school. Beckham tells one of his peers "I don't like raisins." and waits for his peer to respond.

    Beckham is able to understand and use question words with more applications such as "what, where, who and "whose." His teacher asked him "What did the girl get for Christmas? " and he responds, "She got a bike, a doll, and coloring books." Beckham is using 2 to 3 word sentences. When Daddy is gone during the day Beckham says, "Daddy at work".

    Beckham is acquiring new words every day. Beckham picked a flower at the park and his Mom said, "That's a flower" so now Beckham calls anything that he has picked from the ground a "flower".

    Beckham has started to understand that a change in meaning happens when the expression has changed. As the teacher reads aloud different objects in different tones. Beckham is able to differentiate between the objects based on tones. Beckham is able to understand time better. He knows that when it is night time, mom reads him a book before it is time to go to sleep.

    Beckham is able to make significant advances in using complex sentences. He uses elaborate sentence patterns such as "subject-verb-object-adverb" for example, "Daddy's hitting the hammer outside." Beckham also incorporates the use of proximal deictic terms such as "this" and "here" For example, Beckham exclaims to his mom "Mommy, I'm almost here!" as he paddles across a swimming pool toward her.

    Beckham uses past tense verbs. He says "Mommy I jumped at school today". Beckham uses and understands how to use plurals in a sentence. He says "I have two apples". Beckham experiences liquid gliding. When he hugs his mom he says "I wove you".

    Beckham's ability to produce rhyme also emerges. When speaking with his mom he says, "Cat rhymes with bat" and "hop" rhymes with "mop." Beckham uses "subject- auxiliary -verb-adverb sentence forms when structuring complex sentences. For example, he mentions at the dinner table, "Daddy is eating now."

    Beckham is familiar with sorting objects by shape and color when interacting and playing with his different color blocks. He knows that a square shaped block fits into the square shaped hole in his toy. Beckham is able to use appropriate social rules such as greetings, farewells, thank you, getting attention. For example, when he arrives at school he greets his friend with a "hello" and a friendly wave.

    Beckham starts being able to recognize sounds at the beginning and end of words such as ball has BA and Lll and he knows that call has the same sound.

    Beckham uses complex sentences like, "Daddy is running outside". Beckham still calls the bunnies "bunny wabbits" when he sees them in the backyard. When he hugs the family dog and say, "I am hugging the dog". Beckham listens to his ABCs, sings along. He knows his name starts with B. He talks about his favorite books and talks in past tense when he tells Mom that he has already read that story. He points at the airplanes when he is at the park and say, "Look at the plane. It is flying".

    Beckham likes to repeat the words that Mommy says when they are reading a story. Beckham points to the ducks at the park, "They are over there". Beckham ask a lot of questions throughout the day like, "Where did that worm go" or "Where does daddy work". Beckham told Mommy that she is bigger than him & he is shorter than her. When they play hide and seek and he jumps out at Mom and says, "I was behind the couch". He tells his Mom they play outside after lunch, "We play outside after lunch".
