    Hitler invades the Rhineland
    Hitler and his troops invaded the Rhineland on March 7th 1936. The Rhineland was a demilitarized zone according to the Treaty of Vesailles. Hitler went against the Treaty and marched into the Rhineland and made it militarized again, in order to gain complete control over it. Hitler was looking for more living space for German people to live in. No opposing forcesstood against Hitler and his troops, so he gained full control over the Rhineland.

    Massive group of German's used a sudden attack that hit Poland from three directions. Blitzkrieg means "Lightening War."It was a new style of war that used speed and fire power used to penetrate deep into enemy territories.Germany broke through Poland's defense and destroyed Poland's air force.

    This was the longest continuous military campaign in World War two. It ran from 1939 to the defeat of Germany in 1945. Allied naval blocked off Germany in attempt to control the ocean. This process worked, but took a very long time.

    This battle was the first major campaign that was faught enirely by the air force. It was the largest and most sustain bombing campaign for that time. Germany fails to destroy Britain's air defense. This stopped Hitler from getting air superiority over England. If they did gain air superiority, Hitler may have launched opperation Sea Lion, which was an ambitious airborne invasion.

    Pearl Harbor is attacked
    Japanese attacked the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor. The base was attacked by 353 fighters/bombers and torpedo planes in two waves. Four U.S. naval battle ships were sunk and four others were damaged. Japanese sank three cruisers, three destroyers, an anti-aircraft training ship and one mine layer ship. 188 U.S aircrafts were destroyed. 2,402 American men were killed and 1,282 men were wounded.

    Battle of the Coral Sea
    It was a major naval battle in the Pacific between Imperial Japanese Navy and Allied Naval and air forces from the U.S. and Australia. The Japanese tried to strengthen their defensive positioning for their empire. In the end Allies stopped the Japanese from advancing.

    The United States defeated the Imperialist Japanese Naval attack against Midway. The Japanese plan was to bring in U.S. aircraft carriers into a trap. American code breakers were able to detect when and where they were going to attack, so the United States set up an ambush.

    El Alamein was a series of two battles that took place in Egypt. This battle was named after the railroad stop El Alamein. This battle was faught between Axis forces and the Panzer Army Africa.

    It was a major battle of World War two between Nazi Germany and it's allies against the Soviet Union over the city of Stalingrad. It was the largest battle on the eastern front, marked by its brutality and disregard for military and civilian casualities. It was the bloodiest battle in history, that estimated 2 million casualities. It was a turning point of war due to the huge amount of Germany's military loss.

    It was the British- American invasion on French North Africa in the North African Campaign. The Soviet Union presses U.S. and Britain help join in operations and help create a second front to reduce pressure on Soviet Troops.

    The Italian Campaign was the name given to Allied operations in Italy during World War Two. 60,00 Allied soldiers and 50,00 German soldiers died from 1943 to 1945.

    It was the most ambitious attack in military history. It was known as Operation Overload. It took place on the beaches of Normady.The allies attacked Nazi Germany and occupied Europe. About 3,500 men died and after 2 months after hard fightring the allies one. This freed France from the Germans.

    This was a major German offensive launched toward the end of World War Two. It was launched through the forests of the Ardennes mountain area of Belgium. Germany's goal was to split the British and American Allied line in half. This plan was very secretive, so it would have a higher chance of falling through.

    It was a battle faught on the island of Okinawa. U.S. wanted this island because it was really close to Japan's mainland. We wanted to use it as a base for air operation. U.S. won this battle, therefore got the island of Okinawa

    This bombing is still the only use of nuclear weapons to this date. This bomb was used to make Japan surrender. This was a failure.

    This bomb was used to finsih of Japan and make them surrender. The bomb did the job, and Japan surrendered. Japan announced its surrender on September 2nd 1945 ending the pacific war, therefore ending Worl War Two
