Dwight accepts Islam after being in prison with other Muslim men. After he was released, he traveled to his nearest mosque and converted to Islam.

After converting, he changed his name to Isa Abdullah. He started to invite African American youth to come and basically learn about Islam.

Isa gained a small number of followers and based on his readings of the Bible and the Qur'an, he was able to publicly create his own cult.

Isa started to rent buildings and was able to gain some stability. The group started to publish newspapers and on a regular basis authored by Isa.

Isa started to travel where there were many Islam converts but unfortunately, some weren't accepting.

Isa and his community decided to relocate and give the cult a new name. They relocated to a bunch of different places but eventually, his followers went on to buy a new property and rename themselves.
