First Monkey in Space

CitationThe first monkey in Space was Albert II. He made it up into Space and almost back but when he was coming back down, there was a problem with the parachute and died on imspact while landing.

Dogs in Space

Citation Two dogs were sent up into Space with the names Dezik and Tsygan. These two were the first canine astronuats. They came back saftley.

First Monkey to Survive in Space

Citation On September 20, 1952, a monkey, named Yorick, had went up into Space. They probably didn't think that he would survive considering all of the others hadn't. However, he survived impact and made it back saftley.
