Karl Marx invented the idea of Communism. He thought that people who are middle class and poor should be doing all the work and labor. Marx wanted to take over the government. He died before the Russian Revolution had begun. -
Old Majors Speech
Ch.1
Old Major gave an inspiring speech to the animals about why they should break away from Jones an be independant. Old major suggested that the animals should be governed by communism so that all animals are equal. He then lead them to sing the song ''Beasts of England". -
Battle of the Cowshed

In the battle of the cowshed Jones marches onto Animal farm with some men from frederik and Mr. pilkington.Snowball leads the animals in an ambush on the men. Boxer fights courageously, as does Snowball, and the humans suffer a quick defeat. -
The Allied Invasion of Russia
Germany invaded the Russian territories. Germany started off with many victories but then surrenderd to the Russians after their last attempt by launching Operation Winter Storm. -
5 year plan
These plans focused on the development of iron and steel, machine tools, and electric power and transport. Stalin claimed that without this mass production the Soviet Union would fail to defend themselves against an invasion. He promised high wages to motivate employees to work harder. -
Building of the windmill
Napoleon promised that life on the farm would be easier if this windmill was built because the windmill would save them of more work in the future. The faster the windmill was built then easier life would be on the farm. He promised more food rations for the animals due to the hard work the windmill took to build. -
Snowball ousted

Snowball is forced out of the farm when Napoleon uses his guard dogs to chase Snowball. After that he is blamed for problems on the farm, and it is said he was with Jones from the begining. Even though he fought bravely at the Battle of Cowshed, the facts were altered to say That he fought for Jones. After that those accused of supporting him were killed after being forced to confess. -
Leon Trotsky
Leon Trotsky followed in the footsteps of Marx. He also practiced Communism. Trotsky was educated and well spoken. He was one of the leaders of the October Revolution. He wanted to improve the quality of life for all citizens in Russia. Unfortunately he was chased away by secret police who were known as the KGB. The KGB was organized by Vladimir Lenin. Trotsky then flead to Mexico where he was murderd. -
Federick attacks the farm and destroys the windmill

Frederick attacks Animal Farm with a large group of men. The animals cower as Frederick’s men plant dynamite at the base of the windmill and blow it up. Enraged, the animals attack the men driving them off of the farm. -
The German Invasion of 1941
The German attack called operation Barbarossa was the largest attack in human history. German forces lead by adolf hitler attacked Russia attempting to conquer solviate territory. With over 4 million troops germanys attemp to defeat the red army was a failure . -

Napoleon invading the fams policies when he trades directly to humans. The deportation represents napoleon doesnt care about anybody or anythong that doesnt benefit him. -
Non agression pact
Stalin made a pact with Hitler called the non agression pact or nazi soviet pact to not get in war with each other. Hitler broke the pact by opeanly attacking the western boarders, destroying much of the soviets industry.
