    Boston Tea Party
    Colonists were mad that Great Britain was making all the decisions for them, so they dressed up as Native Americans and dumped all the British imported tea into the harbor.
  • The First Continental Congress

    The First Continental Congress
    The colonists banned together to protect their rights. G. Washington, J. Adams, S. Adams and P. Henry and reps from 12 of the 13 colonies got together and made the Declaration of Rights. They decided to boycott everything from and to the British.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    The British and Continental Armies go against each other. The Continental Army wins and this was the turning point of the war. This is when the French became their ally.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    American and French troops were fighting against British troops in Yorktown, Virginia. About 8,000 British soldiers were taken prisoner and it basically ended the American Revolution.

    This is the treaty that ended the American Revolution. It is what gave the Americans their freedom.
