    In 2015, President Obama revealed the American College Promise program which was designed to offer two years of free community college education to anyone willing to work for it. President Obama, along with others in the educational community, believed that community colleges played a central role in solving some of the biggest problems within the higher education system including tuition costs, inclusivity, community engagement, and career preparedness.

    The week of November 18 - 22 is known as "International Education Week." The goal of the initiative is to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. International Education Week is a joint effort between the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education.
    At Phoenix College, it’s seen as another way to promote programs that prepare students for a global environment and to study, learn and exchange experiences with one another.

    The Summer Virtual Cybersecurity and IT Externship Rotation is a structured two-week program from June 14–June 25, 2021. A cohort of participants (externs) from across Arizona, including high school, community college, university students, and veterans will rotate through diverse industry experiences provided by multiple employers. Externs will engage in professional development opportunities and meet with our special guest speaker, Tim Roemer, Director of Arizona Department of Homeland Security
